The idea is that you can use these links to buy online and have your goods delivered to the village shop for you to collect during shop opening hours – that way you don’t have to wait in at home to sign for for a delivery! – This facility has not been agreed with the shop management and staff yet so wait till further notice before using the shop as a delivery address.
There are hundreds of suppliers I could put on the website but in the first place I’ll go for some of the more recognisable market leaders – if there is a site you use regularly to buy from and would recommend, let me know and I’ll see if I can get an ‘affiliate’ link.
The shop would earn an affiliate commission – but you have to make sure the computer/browser you are using accepts ‘cookies’ and allows the corresponding shopping sites to track them for the sale and commission to be registered. There are also vaguaries such as if you have followed similar links to the particular shopping site in the weeks and months before ordering – so we will have to see how it goes before we know if it is commercially worthwhile.
